The Bootheel Foundation is a charitable organization founded in November 2007 with a mission to fund community projects in areas served by Western Bank. Every employee, director, and officer at Western Bank actively contributes to the Bootheel Foundation to help fulfill its mission. Western Bank is committed to giving back to the communities it serves and supporting organizations that make a difference.
Recognizing the vital role educators play in shaping future generations, in 2022 The Bootheel Foundation Teacher Grant was created. Educators in all four service areas are encouraged to apply for funding aimed at implementing innovative teaching strategies, enhancing classroom environments, and improving the overall learning experience for their students.
In 2025, 27 teachers in Lordsburg, Animas, Silver City, Bayard, Willcox, Bisbee, and Tombstone were Awarded teacher grants totaling $47,322.66.
